ZONING APPEALS

BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES

The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) is the local government body that is empowered by State
Law to consider granting relief from the requirements of the zoning ordinance. The board is a
six-member board consisting of one person appointed by City Council, one representee of Plan
Commission approved by Plan Commission, three appointed by the mayor and one appointed
by County Commissions.
